Vinho Verde Selection
110.00€
You can find the Vinho Verde DOP in the northwest of Portugal. It’s location to the extreme North of Portugal and near the Atlantic makes it a white wine region by definition, producing some of the most aromatic, clear and refreshing whites in the country.
In this pack we’ve chosen two Alvarinho wines that represent the best of what is created in the Monção-Melgaço sub-region but with different vinification processes which has produced two incredible but very distinct wines. Our third pick includes the Loureiro grape variety that, according to us and the critics, it is the region’s second best variety (right after Alvarinho, of course).

Quinta de Santiago Reserva Alvarinho
Quinta de Santiago Reserva Alvarinho
Quinta de Santiago is a small wine producer, located at the heart of Alvarinho in Portugal (Monção and Melgaço sub-region) and known for its appetite for experimentation. Following the trend of recent years in which Alvarinho wine producers have started to make "Reserva" wines in which there is a passage through wood (either in fermentation and/or in aging) this wine has able to gain more body and become
more complex. Due to its short period of skin contact it has also generated more oxidized fruit aromas, such as pear and quince. Structured, creamy and with an excellent acidity to extend the ending, it is a wine to pair perfectly with cheese.

Quinta do Ameal Escolha
Quinta do Ameal Escolha
Quinta do Ameal was one of the first produced to bet on the Loureiro variety and making it its flagship variety. This bold bet created a name for the estate and brought high quality wines to its portfolio.
This wine, coming from a small lot of bottles, presents a floral aroma of bay and orange tree, citrus and notes of its passage through wood. A mixture of lightness and concentration, with a great acidity in the end.
