Quinta dos Frades' brand, with winemaking by the highly esteemed Anselmo Mendes, this wine is an excellent representative of the fleshy Douro reds. Very aromatic of black fruits, some balsamic and toasted wood. Full-bodied, full of matter, but with excellent acidity to trim an alcoholic but not heavy set. A wine of impact!
