Quinta da Chocapalha is one of the best producers in the Lisbon region. A family company, it’s daughter Sandra Tavares da Silva’s job to make the house wines. This red wine represents a little of the general atmosphere of the region with a blend of indigenous grape varieties with foreign ones (in this case Alicante Bouschet, but usually Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah are used). Intense wine of ripe black fruits, some spice, full and good final acidity. The years in the bottle have already helped to soften the tannins, which makes it ready to drink.
