Normally, we only present wines with a strong Portuguese identity, of Portuguese grape varieties and representative of the regions of origin. This time, we decided to present Portuguese wines, but made from the main French grape varieties. A unique tasting with the guarantee of quality that characterizes us. Casa Relvas Sauvignon Blanc
Casa Relvas is a large producer in the Alentejo region with numerous brands in its portfolio. It has some interesting wines at good prices. This Sauvignon Blanc presents a style halfway between the French and New Zealand versions. Aromatically it has tropical fruits with some herbaceousness, but in the mouth it presents itself with good acidity, fresh, giving a balanced tasting.

Quinta do Gradil is one of the leading names in the Lisbon region. It has perhaps in its collection of single-varietal wines the best price-quality ratio. This Chardonnay is aged in new oak barrels, which gives it notes of butter and smoke. It is full with creaminess, but has good Atlantic freshness that balances it and does not make it tiresome, but very attractive.

Casa Cadaval is a property with history in the Tejo region. It was one of the first Portuguese producers to introduce a Pinot and keep it in its portfolio with consistency. This is a warmer, fuller version of Pinot. The red berry fruit notes are there but in a more robust body derived from the warmer Portuguese climate. It is very gastronomic.

Casa Ermelinda Freitas is one of the biggest players in the Setúbal region, producing a lot and at reasonable prices. It has always invested heavily in its line of single-varietal wines. This Cabernet comes from warm lands and therefore it presents itself with well-ripened black fruits, slight vegetal balsamic and black pepper. Quite full-bodied with tannins still present but giving a good, pleasant tasting.

Tiago Cabaço is a young producer, son of wine producers, but who wanted to emancipate himself and create his own brand.This is a Syrah moulded in the image of the hot Alentejo region. Very powerful wine, with ripe fruit very present, full-bodied, very structured, but maintaining an excellent acidity that gives it a great depth of finish. An impressive red wine.
