Fellow Box – Feb22 Edition
110.00€
With Dry January leaving and February entering, we wanted to bring different wines that had not yet appeared in our monthly packs. So to make up our choices, we highlighted for the first time we chose a dry Muscat white, an organic certified red, and a red from old vines.
Just good reasons to become one of us. One of the Fellows.
Included in this pack
Vallado Prima
Vallado Prima
Quinta do Vallado is one of the best producers in the Douro region. This white wine made from Moscatel Galego has been a success. It is rare a dry wine made exclusively from this variety, better known for giving rise to sweet wines. Here it presents itself delicate with floral notes of rose and lychee candy. Something exotic in the aroma. In the mouth it presents a very fresh and delicate register. A perfect wine for an aperitif.

Ladeira da Santa Colheita Seleccionada
Ladeira da Santa Colheita Seleccionada
Ladeira da Santa is a relatively recent project that has been asserting itself for the quality of its wines at friendly prices. This white is very interesting. Typical Dão blend with great mixture of grape varieties, in which none has the protagonism, but all contribute to a balanced set, with notes of citrus and white fruit, medium body, excellent acid freshness to prolong the finish. Very gastronomic.
Malvasia Fina, Arinto, Gouveio, Encruzado and Bical

Quinta da Ponte Pedrinha Touriga Nacional
Quinta da Ponte Pedrinha Touriga Nacional
Quinta da Ponte Pedrinha is a classic producer in the good sense of the word. Keeper of the style of the Dão region. This Touriga Nacional presents itself in this more classic register, extremely direct, with wild fruit, violets and balsamic notes commanding the tasting. With no oak, it is a very pure, vinous, fresh and slightly wild wine.

Herdade das Servas Colheita Seleccionada
Herdade das Servas Colheita Seleccionada
Herdade das Servas has a long history related to Alentejo wine production. They are honest wines that reflect the character of the region. This Colheita Seleccionada presents a French-Portuguese blend of ripe black and red fruit, some floral in a full, juicy register, with some final grip. It needs a rare steak to shine.
Alicante Bouschet, Touriga Nacional, Cabernet Sauvignon and Trincadeira
Red meats, Roast dishes
Quinta da Biaia
Quinta da Biaia
Organic certified wines are not common in Portugal. Many producers even have sustainable viticulture practices and respect for the environment, but there is no demand for certification. Quinta Biaia is a recent producer that bet on this differentiation. Besides being organic, the wines are cool-climate and high altitude wines, i.e. naturally fresh, high acidity, juicy, with red fruits commanding the tasting. They are wines that need food to shine.
Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz
Poultry, Red meat
Oboé Reserva Vinhas Velhas
Oboé Reserva Vinhas Velhas
Companhia de Vinhos do Douro despite being a somewhat discreet company it has good wines in its portfolio. Almost all of its wines have their name associated with a wind instrument. So, what music does this wine bring us? It is a blend of typical old Douro vines (between 30-50 years old), concentrated, ripe black fruits, with chocolaty notes from the barrel. Full-bodied but not pasty with good final freshness. A very good wine with an excellent price that will improve with some time in the bottle.
