Anselmo Mendes is one of the best Portuguese winemakers. It’s in his properties in the Monção-Melgaço sub-region that some of the best Portuguese white wines are created and his Alvarinho wines are considered the canon of this variety in Portugal.

The Expressões wine we’ve selected aims to be the variety’s most faithful representation: extremely aromatic to orange peel and with strong minerality. In the mouth it is fine, structured, with high precision and a refreshing ending. It is very complex and expressive and, for us, a world class wine.
